Malta Paintball made its Nations Cup debut in Dreux, France, on 2 and 3 September 2026, marking the first time a Maltese national team competed at the UPBF World Championship Nations Cup.
Malta Paintball Continues Its CPPS Campaign at Round 4
Malta Paintball returned to Penkridge, Staffordshire, for the fourth round of the 2026 Central Premier Paintball Series, held over the weekend of 15 and 16 August.
Playing in Division 5 on Saturday 15 August, Malta recorded six wins across 14 matches, finishing tenth among the 15 participating teams. The result added 60 points to our season total, leaving Malta eighth in the Division 5 championship standings with 248 points after four rounds.
Malta Paintball Records Five Wins at CPPS Event 3
Malta Paintball continued its 2026 Central Premier Paintball Series campaign with five match victories at Event 3 in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
Competing in Division 5 on Saturday 4 July, Malta finished ninth among 20 teams. The result earned 64 championship points, bringing our total to 188 and placing Malta seventh in the season standings after three rounds.
Malta Paintball Continues Its Season at CPPS Event 2
Malta Paintball returned to Penkridge, Staffordshire, for Event 2 of the 2026 Central Premier Paintball Series, held over the weekend of 9 and 10 May.
Competing in Division 5 on Saturday 9 May, Malta finished twelfth, earning 56 championship points. That brought our season total to 124 points after the opening two rounds.
Malta Paintball Opens the 2026 CPPS Season with Eighth Place
Malta Paintball began its 2026 Central Premier Paintball Series campaign with an eighth-place finish among 20 teams in Division 5.
The opening event took place in Penkridge, Staffordshire, with Division 5 competing on Sunday 8 March. Malta earned 68 championship points, providing a solid starting point for another season of international competition.
Malta and Sicily Compete Together at CPPS Event 3
Players from Malta and Sicily joined forces as 181 Lo Spazio for Event 3 of the 2025 Central Premier Paintball Series, competing in Division 4 on Saturday 5 July in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
The event was the combined squad’s third and final CPPS appearance of the season, following participation in the opening rounds in March and May. It provided another opportunity to gain tournament experience and strengthen the connection between the Maltese and Sicilian paintball communities.
Malta and Sicily Return for CPPS Event 2
Players from Malta and Sicily returned to the United Kingdom as 181 Lo Spazio for Event 2 of the 2025 Central Premier Paintball Series.
Competing in Division 4 on Saturday 17 May in Penkridge, Staffordshire, the combined squad made its second CPPS appearance of the season. The event continued the partnership between the two island communities and provided another opportunity to gain international tournament experience
Malta and Sicily Begin Their 2025 CPPS Campaign
Players from Malta and Sicily came together as 181 Lo Spazio for the opening event of the 2025 Central Premier Paintball Series in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
Competing in Division 4 in March, the combined squad began a campaign that would take them to three CPPS events during the season. For the Malta-based players, joining their Sicilian teammates provided an opportunity to gain international tournament experience and build connections between the neighbouring paintball communities.
Malta Players Compete in Two Divisions at the 2024 NXL European Championships
Players from Malta competed in both Division 4 Xball and Amateur 3v3 at the 2024 NXL European Championships, held at Ace Paintball in Dreux, France, from 28 August to 1 September.
HBI Malta entered the Division 4 Xball competition, while Southclan Malta competed in Amateur 3v3. The two entries gave Malta a presence in different tournament formats, with both teams recording victories during the weekend.
HBI Malta Competes at CPS in Rome
HBI Malta travelled to Rome to compete at the CPS Champions Paintball Series “Living the Dream” event on 20 and 21 April 2024.
The tournament gave the squad another opportunity to compete overseas and test itself against experienced international opposition.
HBI Malta Competes at the MacDev Cup in Rome
HBI Malta competed at the MacDev Cup at Paintball La Fortezza in Rome on 26 November 2023, adding another overseas tournament appearance for players from Malta.
The trip brought Maltese participation to an Italian paintball event and gave the team another opportunity to gain competitive experience together.
Jovana Reaches the Women’s Semi-Finals at the 2023 NXL European Championships
Players from Malta competed at the 2023 NXL European Championships at Ace Paintball in Dreux, France, with HBI Malta entering Division 3 Xball and Jovana competing with HBI W in the women’s WNXL division.
Held from 30 August to 3 September, the championships brought together teams from across Europe and beyond. For Malta’s players, the trip provided an opportunity to compete on a major international tournament stage.
Maltese Players Compete in Xball and 10-Man at the 2022 NXL European Championships
Maltese players competed in two formats at the 2022 NXL European Championships at Ace Paintball in Dreux, France, from 15 to 18 September.
HBI Malta entered Division 3 Xball, while Chris Cioffi also competed with HBI in Sunday’s Open 10-Man tournament.

Malta’s Chris Cioffi competed with HBI How Big is Paintball 3 in the Amateur 3-Man division at the 2021 NXL European Championships in Chantilly, France.
The championships took place at the Hippodrome de Chantilly from 2 to 5 September, with the three-player competition held on Sunday 5 September.
Southclan Takes Maltese Paintball to the Sicilian Paintball Cup
Southclan Paintball Team Malta travelled to Sicily to participate in the Sicilian Paintball Cup in May 2016, bringing Maltese players into an event promoted as a meeting of participants from Italy, Malta and the United States.
The Maltese squad included Chris Cioffi, Jesmond Cioffi and Albert Vella.
