Malta Paintball Records Five Wins at CPPS Event 3

Malta Paintball continued its 2026 Central Premier Paintball Series campaign with five match victories at Event 3 in Penkridge, Staffordshire.

Competing in Division 5 on Saturday 4 July, Malta finished ninth among 20 teams. The result earned 64 championship points, bringing our total to 188 and placing Malta seventh in the season standings after three rounds.

Four wins in the preliminaries

Malta opened with a 5 to 3 victory against Bad Touch Inglorious. Further preliminary wins followed against Kezbands and Dyehard, both by 5 to 1, and Turks Old Gits by 5 to 3.

There were also two narrow defeats. Malta lost 4 to 5 against Fat Freddys Cat and 3 to 4 against Staffordshire Vipers, leaving us just one point short in each match.

NPF Misfits, Norfolk Chaos and Mayhem Tigers Grey handed Malta its other preliminary losses. We finished that stage with four wins from nine matches.

A win to finish the event

In the finals stage, Malta faced Psycho Pimps Green and secured a 5 to 2 victory, bringing our event record to five wins from ten matches.

The results showed both our ability to win matches and the importance of turning close games in our favour. With two preliminary defeats decided by a single point, there was plenty to take back into training.

Building experience through competition

Regular participation in the CPPS is an important part of Malta Paintball’s development. It gives our players experience against a wide range of teams and provides a practical way to assess our progress throughout the season.

For players travelling from Malta and Gozo, each event requires a commitment of time, money and preparation. That effort helps us build experience we can share with the wider community as more people become involved in competitive paintball.

Event 3 provided another ten matches of learning, from coordinating our movement and communication to making decisions under pressure. The next step is to turn those lessons into more consistent performances.

Thank you to everyone who helped us attend, including the players, friends, families and supporters who continue to make our international campaign possible.

Get involved with Malta Paintball

We are building opportunities for more people in Malta and Gozo to train, learn and compete. Whether you already play paintball or want to try the competitive side of the sport, contact Malta Paintball to find out how to get involved.

We also welcome people interested in refereeing, volunteering and helping the organisation grow.
