From a tournament victory and MVP honours in New Zealand to a Nations Cup podium in Thailand, Australian paintball player Jordan Gatt has had plenty to celebrate recently. For Malta’s paintball community, his Maltese roots give us another reason to follow his journey.
Alongside his own competitive achievements, Jordan is also helping younger players get started in Australia—sharing his experience through a team he formed for his little brother.

A winning trip to New Zealand
One of Jordan’s standout moments came in July, when he competed with CULT Paintball Team at the Matariki Cup in New Zealand. CULT claimed first place, while Jordan earned the event’s Most Valuable Player award, bringing home both a team victory and individual recognition.
His recent results with CULT also include third place at October’s Arena Paintball event, with the team finishing second overall in the series. It was another podium finish in a busy stretch of overseas competition.

Representing Australia in Thailand
The international action continued in Bangkok at the NAWASIA Finals, held at SAP Sport Field from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
Jordan represented Australia in the Nations Cup, helping the team secure third place, behind champions Russia and runners-up Malaysia. Wearing national colours and finishing on an international podium added another highlight to his season.
He also competed with Disfunctional at NAWASIA, making Thailand a busy stop on his paintball calendar.
These appearances follow earlier years in the Australian scene, including time with Eskimo Brothers around 2020. His journey has since taken him across the region, competing with different teammates and representing Australia overseas.

Helping the next generation
Back home in Australia, Jordan has been putting time into developing younger players. He started Young Beamers, an under-18 team, for his younger brother Nick, and has been coaching and training the squad to help them progress.
It adds another side to his involvement in paintball. Alongside travelling and competing himself, Jordan is sharing what he has learned and helping young players build their own experience in the sport.
What began as a team for his little brother has also become an opportunity to support a wider group of young players as they find their feet in competitive paintball.
A connection that reaches back to Malta
The Maltese diaspora stretches around the world, with established communities in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. Among those communities are paintball players who share both Maltese heritage and a love of the game.
For players living overseas, paintball can offer another way to reconnect with Malta. That might mean getting to know players here, sharing experiences, arranging a game during a visit or simply following each other’s progress. A shared interest can start a conversation and turn a family connection to Malta into new friendships.
Jordan represents Australia on the field, while his Maltese roots give our community here a personal connection to his journey. His recent results offer plenty to celebrate, and his work with Young Beamers shows that his contribution to paintball extends beyond his own performances.
From supporting his younger brother in Australia to competing on international fields, Jordan’s story is one we’re pleased to share with Malta’s paintball community.
Congratulations, Jordan—we look forward to following what comes next.
Do you play paintball overseas and have a Maltese connection? We’d love to hear your story and help bring our worldwide paintball community a little closer together.
