HBI Malta Competes at the MacDev Cup in Rome

HBI Malta competed at the MacDev Cup at Paintball La Fortezza in Rome on 26 November 2023, adding another overseas tournament appearance for players from Malta.

The trip brought Maltese participation to an Italian paintball event and gave the team another opportunity to gain competitive experience together.

Malta’s presence at the event

For the Maltese players, competing overseas means opportunities to play beyond Malta’s small paintball community. Events such as the MacDev Cup provide time on the tournament field and exposure to other teams, contributing to the experience needed to develop competitive paintball at home.

Getting a team abroad also requires commitment beyond the matches themselves. Travel, accommodation, equipment and time away from work and family are all part of making these appearances possible.

Another overseas appearance for HBI Malta

HBI’s participation in Rome continued the effort to keep Maltese players involved in international competition. Each trip adds to the practical experience of preparing, travelling and competing as a team.

Thank you to the players and everyone who helped make the journey possible, and to Paintball La Fortezza for hosting the event.
